US TPE compounder Star Thermoplastics Alloys and Rubbers will have very active participation in the upcoming 2020 TPE World Summit to be held virtually by Smithers on December 15th and 16th.
Dr. Prakash Sanjeevaiah, Director of Technology of the company, will be presenting “New Innovations in Thermoplastic Elastomers Bonding to Polar Substrates.” The paper is about innovations resulting in the introduction of a new product line StarBond XL series, announced by the company in September 2020. The TPE World Summit will be chaired by Dr. Krishna Venkataswamy, Executive Vice President of Star Thermoplastics.

Dr. Prakash Sanjeevaiah is a key member of the Star Executive team. He has led R & D for over a decade leading to several successful commercial products. He has established state-of-the-art product development, process development and analytical laboratories to create center of excellence in thermoplastic elastomers. His prior experience in polymers includes GE Plastics at Jack Welsh R&D Center, Bangalore, India.
Prakash has a Ph.D. in Synthetic Organic Polymer Chemistry from Loyola University Chicago, a MS in Analytical Chemistry and Instrumentation from Bangalore University, and a BS in Chemistry from the prestigious St. Joseph’s College, Bangalore University. He has presented several papers in major technical conferences. He has published more than a dozen papers in leading journals and industry publications. In addition, his work has led to two IP filings for the company.
