IMCD N.V. on 26 September 2018 announced the completion of the acquisition of Velox GmbH, a distributor with a focus on raw material specialities and solutions for the plastics, composites, additives, rubber, and paints and coatings industries with headquarters in Hamburg, Germany. Velox was established in 1993. With approximately 225 employees in 18 countries, the company generated EUR 155 million revenue in 2017.
Earlier this year on 1 August IMCD announced the completion of the acquisition of US speciality distributor E. T. Horn Company. Horn was established in 1961 and focuses on coatings, construction, plastics, personal care, human food and nutrition, animal nutrition, nutraceuticals and other specialties. With a head office in La Mirada, CA, USA, Horn is primarily focused on the West and South West regions of the USA. In 2017, the company generated revenues of USD 276 million. It has approximately 200 employees.
