Brain of Materials, Kraiburg TPE: Expansion of digital development processes

Kraiburg TPE announced that it has entered into a partnership with the digital platform Brain of Materials. The compounder pointed out in a statement this will enable the company to make its innovative materials with all their technical data directly available to developers and manufacturers from various industries for integration into product development processes. By using Brain of Materials, the company now provides its customers and interested parties with further digital access to technical data and material details for seamless integration into development processes.

Brain of Materials is a platform for innovative and smart materials that helps designers, developers and engineers to optimize and accelerate their product development processes. For material manufacturers, it is also an active sales and marketing tool that brings together players from different industries, such as OEMs with producers or Tier 1 and Tier 2 suppliers.

„We are in a time of transformation. Due to frequently changing models and collections, products have to be developed faster and faster. Therefore, it is necessary to have a tool that includes reliable and transparent information about materials in the supply chains. The sustainability factor and the CO2 footprint is an elementary component for the selection of materials. Brain of Materials provides the digital twin of materials, especially for information on processing, durability, color specification and safety-related data. With these digital material twins, Brain of Materials supports color processes to help OEMs and their supply networks achieve their goals for the future and remain competitive,“ underlines Hans Peter Schlegelmilch, CEO and founder of Brain of Materials.

„Developing new, forward-looking products is a tradition at Kraiburg TPE. With Brain of Materials, we have found a very good platform as a supplement to our existing channels to present our customized thermoplastic elastomers 365 days a year like at a digital trade fair. We want to use this sales and information opportunity in addition to our existing analog and digital media to address new customers and markets and in this way increase our reach,“ says Josef Neuer, Head of Product Management EMEA at Kraiburg TPE. „As an innovative material manufacturer, we want to take an active role in this sales channel from the very beginning, learning from the emergence and design of the systems and taking advantage of all the digital opportunities in the years to come.“
