Wanhua: TPU donation for 3D-printed face-mask holders

Wanhua Chemical has donated 400 kg TPU materials to produce 3D-printed face-mask holders for the frontline responders, cooperating with Peak Sports. The 3D-printed mask holder made of TPU is a recyclable plastic band which helps to fasten a face mask to the head without leaving red marks and causing inflammation. Wanhua says that this eco-friendly product aims at providing better working condition for the frontline responders and medical staff while reducing waste.

Wanhua has already cooperated with Peak in the past, most recently for the production of a 3D printed sports shoe in 2019. Established in 1989, Peak Sports mainly designs, develops, manufactures, distributes, sells, and markets its own sportswear products, including sneakers, clothing and accessories. In May, 2017, the company released the first 3D printed sneakers in China; it also released the world’s first 3D printed sneakers for basketball.
