Ravago expands TPE and engineering plastics capacities in Turkey

Luxembourg-based plastics supplier Ravago has announced an expansion of its manufacturing capacities in Europe by increasing the production of TPEs and engineering plastics at its brand new Aliağa (Izmir) production plant in Turkey. This will bring the TPE capacity at that site to 40,000 t/y. The Aliağa site will thus become the largest production complex of Ravago with a capacity of 250,000 t/y.

Ravago says this expansion brings its current global TPE business to the level of 90,000 t/y. The portfolio consists of TPS, TPV, TPO and TPU. The products are marketed under the brand names Ensoft, Enflex, EZPrene, and Ravathane. Ravago produces TPUs at the plant in Koceali, Turkey, with a current annual capacity of 10,000 t.

Ravago’s primary TPE manufacturing and technology centers are located in Turkey.  Additional manufacturing and development locations include Arlington, TX, USA, Steinfurt, Germany, and Huzhou, China. All are dedicated to the manufacture of the company’s complete line of thermoplastic elastomers. A new R&D Centre was inaugurated at the end 2017 in Koceali/Istanbul to increase customer service and secure high quality and innovative developments for compounds and raw materials for many sectors ranging from the automotive to the textile industries.

The production and engineering operations of Ravago Petrokimya (Turkey) are certified to the standards of ISO 9001 and ISO/TS 16949:2002 for quality systems.

The Ravago group represents over 4,000,000 t of annual polymer sales serving more than 40,000 active customers through 230 offices across more than 55 countries worldwide. Ravago’s production competence consists of 30 manufacturing facilities, including 19 recycling and compounding plants in North America, Europe and Turkey with a combined annual capacity of over 500,000  t and 11 production plants in Belgium, Greece, Turkey and Russia.
