Adsale, the organisers of Chinaplas, have announced a significant change regarding this global event for the plastics and rubber industry. They will be moving the date and the location of the 2021 edition as the exhibition in the odd years will change its venue from Guangzhou to Shenzhen. Consequently the 2021 event will be held in the Shenzhen World Exhibition and Convention Center (SWECC) on 13-16 April 2021. The SWECC was opened in September 2018 and is situated close to the city’s international airport. Adsale said that the decision was made after careful consideration of the market development and exhibitor’s opinion. The 2019 event in Guangzhou was according to Adsale, heavily overbooked.
2021 is also the year when next NPE will take place in Florida. On 22 January 2020, the Plastics Industry Association (Plastics), formerly SPI, the organisers of NPE, issued a statement regarding the scheduling of Chinaplas and NPE in the year 2021. The association welcomed Adsale’s decision to move the date of its trade show to 13 – 16 April 2021, avoiding an overlap with NPE2021, which will take place in May 2021.
