ExxonMobil: Shaping the future with Santoprene

ExxonMobil announced that it will demonstrate at its pavilion at the fairground between halls 10 and 16 how, by working together and utilising combined expertise, customers across the value chain can create differentiated sustainable solutions for a range of applications including packaging, automotive, consumer products, agriculture, building and construction, hygiene and personal care, and lubricants.

Key highlights at K 2019 include full PE laminated packaging solutions, containing Exceed XP, Exceed, and Enable PE polymers; technological advancements using recycled PE in combination with performance PE polymers for flexible film applications, Vistamaxx for low-cost recycled content utilization while targeting high-value applications; film technology that combines Exceed XP with ExxonMobil PP to deliver heavy-duty sack films with high-heat resistance, and latest developments in colouring Exxtral polyolefins used for vehicle interiors.

The company recently announced interesting results of a cooperation with DuPont. The companies have introduced a new Santoprene platform with improved bonding to EPDM and lower COF (see report on p.
