Constante new president of PlasticsEurope

Javier Constante, Commercial Vice President, Packaging and Specialty Plastics Business EMEA of Dow Europe, was nominated as new president of PlasticsEurope. He succeeds Daniele Ferrari, CEO of Versalis (Eni), who held this office since 2017 and was elected President of Cefic (the European Chemical Industry Council) at the end of October 2018.

Every challenge also brings new opportunities and I am looking forward to boosting our strong engagement in ensuring the highest possible rates for re-use, recycling and/or recovery of all plastics packaging.“, said Constante, who has over 30 years of experience in the business.

 

He joined Dow in 1989 in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and worked in various leadership positions across Sales and Marketing serving a variety of businesses in Latin America and Europe. Constante was named to his current position in 2011. He serves as a member of the Board of Directors of Equate / TKOC and EMC Equate Marketing Company. In 2015 he was elected Vice President of PlasticsEurope and is a member of the World Plastics Council.

Further announcements are: Michael Zobel, Managing Director of Business Unit High Performance Materials at Lanxess and Tim Stedman, Senior Vice President and Business President for the Plastics and Feedstocks businesses and Global Supply Chain at Trinseo have been nominated new Vice Presidents of PlasticsEurope. Tom Crotty, Group Director for Corporate Affairs and Communications at INEOS remains Vice President and Treasurer of PlasticsEurope.
