According to the organiser, Smarter Shows, the Foam Expo Conference is the industry’s only free-to-attend conference delivering in-depth coverage of market trends, manufacturing challenges, and opportunities across all technical foam applications. It takes place over three days – 26 – 28 March 2019 in Novi, MI, USA – and delves into a broad range of industries, from automotive and aerospace, to medical and sports, as well as construction and packaging.

Smarter Shows said the 2019 edition will be bigger and better than ever, with new specially designed sessions. New for 2019 are Material Jam Sessions, serving to enhance understanding of developments in specific innovative materials including PET foam, metal foam, syntactic foam, spray foam, and many others. Each session covers a different material, meaning participants can attend the sessions most relevant to their business. There are also new Spotlight Sessions, where participants can learn more about the needs and requirements of end users in the automotive. aerospace, packaging, sports & leisure, medical, and construction industries. The sessions will cover regulations, material requirements, and testing.

The popular two-track format returns, with parallel sessions connecting the dots between suppliers and end-users on crucial matters. The first track concentrates on industry trends and developments, application and end-user requirements, and sustainability. Meanwhile, track two focuses on raw material development, manufacturing, processing, and testing of materials.

Panels on the bill tackle everything from cost-reduction while improving foam capabilities, to adapting to the rapid rate of regulation change in the construction industry. Other key areas covered include innovations in the sports and leisure industry, how foam is front and centre in the packaging industry’s green revolution, lightweighting and material innovations, and blowing agent development.

The show organisers have confirmed a list of renowned speakers lined up to share their industry experiences, insights, and projections. Speaking companies include Honeywell, Avery Dennison, Performance Tapes, Armacell, BASF Corporation, Sealed Air Corporation, and The Dow Chemical Company. The event is an open forum, meaning attendees can meet and connect with these industry leaders on a one-to-one basis. View the full speaker list here: www.foam-expo.com/conference/speaker-list
