Chinaplas 2020: Postponement to 13-16 April 2021

Due to the continuing Corona pandemic Chinaplas 2020 had to be rescheduled again and has been postponed to 13-16 April 2021. The show venue will be changed from National Exhibition and Convention Center in Shanghai to Shenzhen World Exhibition and Convention Center in ShenzhenThe major global event for the plastics and rubber industry was supposed to open its doors from 21-25 April 2020 originally, and had at first been rescheduled to 3-6 August 2020 in back in January 2020.

The virus is now largely under control in China, but poses a high degree of uncertainty globally. China has now a formidable task of fighting against local rebound infections while preventing the next wave of outbreak from imported cases. On 6 April 2020, the State Council of China has issued a circular clearly mentioning that all kinds of exhibitions have to be stopped for the time being.

Under such circumstances, the 34th Chinaplas cannot be held as scheduled and will be further postponed from 3-6 August 2020 to 13-16 April 2021, and the show venue will be changed from National Exhibition and Convention Center in Shanghai to Shenzhen World Exhibition and Convention Center in Shenzhen.

In a letter to exhibitors and visitors Adsale expressed the opinion, that exhibitors would be more prepared in supporting the new market demands brought about by market recovery. As an important manufacturing and R&D center for innovative technology in China, Shenzhen has been chosen by the Chinese government as one of the driving engines in the future development of the Greater Bay Area. In shifting the 34th Chinaplas to Shenzhen, it will enable global plastics and rubber suppliers to tap into the emerging business opportunities in tandem with the further opening up of the China market.
