The Adsale Group, the organisers of Chinaplas 2018, announced that a total of 180,701 visitors attended the trade show during the four days (24 – 27 April) at the new show venue, the National Exhibition and Convention Center (NECC) in Shanghai. The 2018 edition of Asia’s biggest plastics and rubber trade show recorded the highest visitor count in history, and the show also set a new record in terms of exhibition space.

The number of overseas visitors totaled 47,900, accounting for 26.5 % of the total. They came from 150 countries and regions. Compared with Shanghai 2016 (at the previous venue in Pudong), the number of visitors increased by 21.6 %. The total also rose by 16.4 % compared with last year’s Guangzhou edition of the show. Chinaplas 2018 was the first edition of the show to be held in the NECC. The exhibition area with 3,948 exhibitors covered 340,000 m2, an increase of 100,000 m2 compared to the Shanghai edition 2016.
