PhonTech introduces new food-grade materials
Phon Tech has successfully developed TPEs that comply with German LFGB §31. This regulation consists of different specific tests to make sure the material is safe for contact with foodstuff, which includes sensorial examination, specific migration of metals, global migration, specific migration of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAH), nonylphenol in polymers and screening of plasticiser.
Versalis opens EPDM facility in Ferrara
On 12 September 2018, Versalis (Eni) has opened an EPDM rubber production plant in Ferrara, Italy, which will mainly supply the automotive industry. Over EUR 250 million were invested in the project, which involved constructing a new production line, and the revamping of the existing elastomer plant.
